Rosie Phillips at Soulard Art Market

Yesterday's masterpieces as created by the masters of today!

I am pleased to announce the juried acceptance of my version of Cezanne's "Still Life with Onions" painted in watercolor.  I created this painting for the "Remastered" exhibit for Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Gallery.  Cezanne painted this in oil and I painted it in watercolors!

"Remastered" is our chance to re-imagine famous artworks of the past; yesterday's masterpieces.  Artists were challenged to create reproductions from these artisic greats in our own unique style.  The exhibit is open from November 13th through January 9th with opening receptions on November 13th and 14th from 7-10 PM and again on December 11th and 12th.  Please see website for hours and directions!

Congratulations Rosie..."Still Life with onions" is wonderful and sounds like a most interesting exhibit. It is interesting to see what watercolors can do with the right artist! Thanks for sharing.
