Fallbrook Art Center Call for Entries

The Fallbrook Art Center in Fallbrook, California, has invited the Saint Louis Watercolor Society  members to enter their 7th Annual Signature American Watermedia Exhibition.  The show submission deadline is November 20, 2015 with the show opening on February 6, 2016.  Here is their prospectus. About the Artwalk

The Artwalk will be located in the center of  the Taste of St. Louis between the food vendors and live music in the premier location in front of the Chesterfield Amphitheater.  The Artwalk will be expanded in 2015 and is a unique experience in which Budweiser Taste of St. Louis patrons can purchase exceptional artwork created by regional professional artists.  All artists in the Artwalk are juried and artworks are a wide array of styles and mediums.

The Budweiser Taste of St. Louis hosted over 200,000 people in 2014 and we expect more in 2015!

The 11th annual, award-winning Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, also known as “The Ultimate Food Experience,” is a three-day festival that offers foodies from around the region the opportunity to sample delicious food in a wide array of culinary delights from the region’s finest restaurants along with live entertainment.

Call for Art - Street Festival and Juried Art Event - Wentzville Village Center Octoberfest



The Crossroads Arts Council in conjunction with the Wentzville Downtown Business Association and City of Wentzville would like to invite all fine artists to participate in the upcoming Wentzville Octoberfest Wine & Art Festival scheduled for October 17, 2015 from 11 am to 7 pm in the streets of Wentzville's historic Village Center. 
The Octoberfest is a premier one day event which will offer many local breweries and wineries the opportunity to offer sampling of their products under the protection of a large tasting tent.  Along with the enjoyment of fine wine, an adjacent area of juried artists from around the Midwest will offer fine art for sale at many price points. Local food trucks along with a stage to provide musical background for a day of fun and enjoyment will be located in the Village Center area of Wentzville, alongside the Historical Society’s caboose.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the winning art pieces in the amount of $250 for Best in Show, $200 for 2nd place, and $150 for 3rd place.  A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the People's Choice award.


BOOTH FEES:
$50 before and on 8-15-15, $45 if a member of Crossroads Arts Council
$80 after 8-15-15, $75 if a member of Crossroads Arts Council
$35 jury fee: may submit up to three images for judging

A limited number of artists will be selected to participate.  The art vendor application, rules and policies for participation in the street festival and juried art event can be found on our

Self Help Painters Paint Out at Suzanne Koenen's Home

Suzanne Koenen invited the Self Help Painters group to a Paint Out at her home on Wednesday, July 22nd, and shared photos she snapped during the day.  It looks like a good time was had by all.  You will recognize our members:  Dave Anderson, Sandy Baker, Vera Clark, Kathy Dowd, Fran Kempin, Gerry Klein,  Pat Long, and Doris Schwartz.  Suzanne, you should have had someone take your photo to include!
