Daven Anderson News, New Studio and Classes

Watercolor students and friends:

I am moving my studio and gallery to a wonderful space in Lafayette Square on
the Plaza - 1410 S. 18th Street - across from Squires, Square One Brewery and
the fabulous new Tripel restaurant and down the street from the 33 Wine bar,
Bailey's Chocolate Bar, Riccardo's and Laredo.  I mention that in case painting
makes you hungry.  The space has everything one would want in a studio/gallery: great lighting, interesting and wonderful surroundings, lots of room, tables and chairs and easels - with a charming garden attached.  The Koi pond has a waterfall, chairs for relaxing and a full moon every now and then - and, at this time of year, fireflies.  Wonderful music too!  There is plenty of parking for those who don't arrive by foot, bicycle or Vespa.  The large studio is ground floor and with a fully handicap accessible toilet.

I will be teaching six evenings of watercolor painting during August - Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug 8,13,15,20, 22 and 27th.  Class will be from 6 to9:15
nightly.  The fee for the six evenings is $175. Since I will be teaching
frequently (monthly?), missed sessions can be made up during a later session -
they won't be wasted.  Class size is limited so I will have sufficient time with each student.  Also, coffee and soft drinks will be available - no charge. If
wine serves as a painting aid, please feel free to bring some for all to share & I will contribute too.  Student's materials and paintings can be stored between classes. The studio is alarmed and very secure - and available at any time to my students.

I will be carrying a full line of Isabey and Raphael (French) brushes, Sennelier
(French) watercolor, oil and acrylic paints and Fabriano (Italian) and Sennelier watercolor papers.  I promise that my studio prices, for students, will be equal to or better than any - in store or on-line.  I carry them for my own work and to help my students and friends.
As some of you are aware, I am currently teaching a four week, three credit hour
studio (watercolor) course at UMSL.  I intend to continue teaching at UMSL as
well as other St. Louis institutions - and monthly in my studio.

For registration or questions, just email davenaanderson@gmail.com - calls are OK too (cell 440-476-1597/-studio 314-241-2339).  To register, simply mail a check for $80, balance on first day of class.  Look forward to seeing you in class or
elsewhere.   Please keep painting!  For those who have been in my classes before
- remember!  - 'Show up!  Get Lucky!
