Hi, All,
Well, I've just plunked down my rental fee for the Lions
Club for this year's workshop, so the workshop September 8th - 12th is
on! This year's emphasis will be on color, with specific information on
color choices for the watercolorist.
The fee for this year's workshop has not changed!
While some other workshop tuition rates have skyrocketed out of reach for some
students, my fee is still a reasonable $400. Make checks payable to Carol
Jessen, and mail to:

Conveniently located right down the lane from the Lions Club
is the very affordable Beach Cove Resort, perched high above West Harbor
Pond. Please mention that are part of the workshop. Other
lodging: Topside Inn, which overlooks all of the bay from high on McKown
Hill and features the best breakfasts in Boothbay Harbor. In fact, one of
my students last year had to give a breakfast report every morning before we
got started! Ship Ahoy Motel on Southport Island is the most reasonable
rate in the area. Other choices include Brown's Wharf, Boothbay Harbor
Inn, Tugboat Inn and a plethora of other lodgings which can be found at the
Boothbay Harbor Chamber of Commerce website.
This will be primarily a plein air workshop, although the
Lion's Club facility has ample room to spread out if we are forced inside due
to weather. If you need a list of suggested supplies, I can
email it to you.
A daily demonstration to illustrate the day's lesson, a
critique at the end of the painting day, and lots of individual attention as
you ask for it will make the painting day full and productive. I sure
hope you can make it. Plan now for an exciting week in this beautiful
location!
Best,
Carol
