Only one month away for my watercolor workshop.
33st Annual ARROW ROCK MO
WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
JULY 10-14, 2011
You are invited to attend the summer workshop OF MARILYNNE BRADLEY at the historic river town of Arrow Rock, Missouri. The workshop is open to amateur or advanced painters of any style. A different watercolor technique will be presented daily. Classes begin Sunday at 1pm at the visitor’s center. Weekday sessions begin at 9 a.m. with a painting demonstration and a critique of the previous day’s work. The remainder of the day will be devoted to painting, additional activities and side trips. Participants will meet formally for approximately 3 hours per day, Sunday through Thursday, and will be expected to complete assignments each day.
I will furnish you with white sulphite paper, WC markers, white crayons and Prang watercolors etc. If you have your own watercolors, bring them. I’ll be demonstrating techniques that will work with most brands of watercolors. However, Prang watercolors have the most intense colors. Bring pencils, scissors, masking tape, sponges, water container and a drawing board. The FEE FOR THE WORKSHOP IS $150.
The dress for the week is very casual. The weather is usually hot. Bring bug spray. To give you time to get settled with rooming, we will meet at the STATE HISTORIC SITE Interpretive Center, Sunday at 1:00 p.m. You will get your first assignment due the next morning. We will meet at 9 each morning in the auditorium. Class will end by noon, Thursday.
