Maggie McCarthy has been Invited to Show at the John Burroughs' Unique Boutique

Unique Boutique features quality, one-of-a-kind gifts, fine art and handcrafted items offered by more than four dozen locally and nationally known artisans.

The 19th Annual Unique Boutique will take place the weekend before Thanksgiving, Saturday and Sunday, November 22 and 23 from 10 am to 4 pm at John Burroughs School, 755 South Price Road in Ladue. The public is welcome; admission is $5 at the door.

SLWS 2015 Workshops

Now is the time for SLWS members to sign up for the upcoming workshops as they will be open to non-members on November 15th.  Here is the lineup and registration forms.  Don't procrastinate if you are interested in taking one of these workshops.

Call for Artists - Augusta Plein Air Festival 2015 - April 23 - May 2

The August Plein Air Team has been hard at work with plans for 2015.  The schedule is set and registration is open.  Several changes you will notice in the registration form this year include:  the opportunity for early selection of your booth space for the Final Sale; the addition of a second Private Estate Paintout; and the calendar of special events.  You are asked to indicate special events in which you plan to participate in order to provide sponsors with an estimate of the number of artists to aid in their preparations.  You will find more complete details on the form and at www.augustapleinair.com.  You can also look for their ad in Plein Air Magazine.

Missouri Watercolor Society Gallery Grand Opening - Call for Entries

Daven Anderson would like SLWS members to know that the Missouri Watercolor Society will be receiving works for their new gallery grand opening exhibition on Thursday, Nov. 6th and Friday, Nov. 7th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  If someone wants to exhibit but cannot make that time Daven will set up something for them.  Also, artists will be able to 'sign up' to exhibit until Friday, Nov. 7th.  The following week they will be hanging, etc. and will not be able to accommodate any additional work.

The works of 50 member artists will be exhibited including national and internationally recognized watercolorists.

SLWS Wednesday Self Help Painters at the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge
