Our member, Marilynne Bradley was accepted in the Southern Watercolor Society Exhibit showing now in Madisonville, KY. Marilynne is spending the weekend there and was happy to meet Chen-Khee Chee. Her entry is Liluma, a restaurant in the Central West-end here in STL. This painting is 11" x 15", but Marilynne says future entries should be larger, so she plans to paint larger for this show in the future.

Plein Air Opportunity
From member Linda Green/Metzler:
For those who missed her Fall Paint Out, here is another chance to see and paint this beautiful wine-country spot on private property. Also a workshop opportunity on Saturday. Julie and her husband Tom Greisedick are great hosts and the scenery is fabulous at this restored country school house that they make their home. It falls the weekend before Augusta, a great warm-up opportunity.

WHY PAINT A SERIES?
Painting in a series allows you to ask the question “I wonder what would happen if …?” You can more fully explore your subject by applying different treatments and approaches to the same subject. Working in a series forces you to think and feel. Often you will come up with ideas you might never have thought of when painting only what you see. What do you have to lose? Along this journey you might discover a whole “new you.”___________________________________________________________________________________
